Lana Krichmar

Co-Founder

Dr. Lana Krichmar is a mom of two fencers and a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist. As a fencing mom and a psychologist, she supported her children through struggles and challenges of participating in fencing, both socially and competitively.  

 

Professionally, Dr. Krichmar is trained in Behavioral, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral (CBT/DBT) and Rational Emotional Behavioral (REBT) therapy approaches. Dr. Krichmar has extensive experience and expertise working with clients struggling with peer relationships, social and communication skills, those experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, crisis, among other issues. Dr. Krichmar’s particular area of expertise is sport psychology and short-term crisis intervention and therapy.  

 

Dr. Krichmar received her doctorate in Clinical/School Psychology from Hofstra University. Dr. Krichmar was a Director of the Intensive Crisis Stabilization and Treatment (ICST) program at Kings County Hospital Center for over 10 years. She has worked as a consulting psychologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center Student Counseling Services, and has been in private practice for over 15 years.
